The Academic Affairs <\/span>C<\/span>ommittee is <\/span>tasked with <\/span>attending regular meetings with the Provost and Deans to discuss curriculum and faculty-rela<\/span>ted concerns<\/span>. The Committee will review student concerns with academics and curriculum and communicate with department chairs and faculty <\/span>to propose changes or recommendations. <\/span>The Director of University Affairs oversees the Academic Affairs Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>ad<\/span>-hoc <\/span>Annual Funding Committee<\/span> is tasked with overseeing the budgeting process for all student-funded organizations, including <\/span>engaging with, meeting with, and collecting information from clubs and organizations to <\/span>allocate<\/span> an annual budget. The <\/span>Director<\/span> of Finance oversees the Annual Funding Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Club Approval Committee<\/span> is tasked with informing and guiding prospective clubs and organizations through the approval process, including drafting constitutions, and presenting to the committe<\/span>e for approval.<\/span> The Attorney General oversees the Club Approval Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n The Community Relations Committee is tasked with attending the Monmouth University Community Relations Taskforce meetings, local town council meetings as needed, <\/span>and meeting with university administration <\/span>regarding<\/span> student life in the surrounding communities. The Committee also provides information to students living off campus and is <\/span>SGA\u2019s connection to alumni. The Director of Public Relations oversees the Community Relations Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n The<\/span> Elections & Recruitment Committee is tasked with<\/span> interpreting election rules, developing voting systems, enforcing election regulations, and overseeing all SGA elections. The Committee will also be responsible for recruiting candidates to run for office before the spring general election. The Attorney <\/span>General oversees the Elections & Recruitment Committee.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The ad-hoc Giving Tree Committee is tasked with leading SGA\u2019s annual Giving Tree charity event. <\/span>The committee will contact local charities, hospitals, etc<\/span>.<\/span>, <\/span>to<\/span> plan a campus-wide donation drive for community members in need during the holiday season.<\/span> The President Pro-Tempore oversees the Giving Tree Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n The Homecoming Committee is tasked with planning and overseeing the annual Homecoming celebration. The Committee will coordinate with campus organizations, <\/span>local businesses, and community groups to ensure a successful event. The Director of Programming oversees the Homecoming Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n The Marketing Committee is tasked with managing and updating SGA\u2019s social media accounts, <\/span>collaborate with committees and clubs to promote and advertise SGA, and <\/span>utilize<\/span> on-campus channels for communication (Hawk TV, The Outlook, WMCX, etc.) to inform students of SGA activities. <\/span>The Director of Public Relations oversees the Marketing Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n The NEST Committee is tasked with <\/span>assisting<\/span> the NEST food pantry in the Rebecca Stafford Student Center<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span> The Committee will <\/span>maintain<\/span> and monitor food inventory, resupply, check donation bins, <\/span>establish<\/span> operating hours, <\/span>create staffing schedules, <\/span>and hold d<\/span>onation drives among other responsibilities. <\/span>The Director of Access & Inclusion oversees the NEST Committee.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The Philanthropy Committee is tasked with <\/span>planning the fall semester\u2019s Big Event and a second major philanthropic event in the spring semester. The Committee will coordinate with campus organizations, local businesses, and community partners to ensure the philanthrop<\/span>ic events are successful. The Director of Access & Inclusion oversees the Philanthropy Committee.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The Senator Engagement Committee is tasked with <\/span>advising<\/span> leadership, planning events and programs, and <\/span>facilitating<\/span> workshops on a personal and professional level for members of SGA. The President Pro-Tempore oversees the Senator Eng<\/span>agement Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n The Specialty Funding Committee is tasked with overseeing all specialty funding requests from student clubs and organizations<\/span>. The Committee will meet with individuals and clubs requesting specialty funding, evaluate their request<\/span>, and potentially coordinate the organization\u2019s presentation to the full Senate. The Director of Finance oversees the Specialty Funding Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n The Springfest Committee is tasked with planning and putting together the annual Springfest celebration. The Committee will meet <\/span>with other campus organizations, local businesses, and community groups to ensure successful implementation. The Director of Programming oversees the Springfest Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n The Student Affairs Committee is tasked with communicating with the Division of Student Life <\/span>(MUPD, Gourmet Dining, Health Services, etc.) <\/span>to present student concerns or suggestions<\/span> regarding<\/span> those departments. The Committee will inform students of services offered by said departments and will meet with representatives from the departments often to ensure student concerns are addressed.
