Party Smart originated at an SGA meeting during the Fall 2007 semester. Since then, SGA, the Office of Off-Campus and Commuter Services, and the Office of Substance Awareness have joined together to help make Party Smart a part of the support that is provided to students at Monmouth University who live off-campus. Party Smart is based on the premise that you can socialize with friends\/roommates in an off-campus setting, while not opening yourself up to costly municipal fines or sanctions as part of the Monmouth University Student Code of Conduct. Maybe it happened to you?<br \/>\n \u00a0<br \/>\n Wouldn&#8217;t it be great if there was a way to prevent that from happening? Believe it or not, it is possible to have a great party and not run into any problems with guests, neighbors, the police, or Monmouth University. That&#8217;s what Party Smart is all about! The next time you decide to host an off-campus party, stop by the Office of Off-Campus and Commuter Services (located on the 2nd floor of the Student Center) or the Office of Substance Awareness (located in the Health Center) and pick up a FREE Party Smart kit.<br \/>\n \u00a0<br \/>\n WHAT&#8217;S IN THE PARTY SMART KIT?<br \/>\n \u00a0<br \/>\n Every Party Smart kit has a Free t-shirt, a Party Smart bucket to hold guests&#8217; keys so they don&#8217;t drive intoxicated, a Party Smart pamplet, a coupon for a FREE 6 pack of 20 ounce Coca Cola products from ARAMARK, coupons to local eateries and businesses, phone numbers for cab companies, and pamphlets from the Office of Substance Awareness.<br \/>\n \u00a0<br \/>\n WHAT DO I DO WITH THE PARTY SMART KIT?<br \/>\n \u00a0<br \/>\n Read the literature in the kit. Then apply those suggestions as you plan your next party.
