Visiting the UN
Here are a few pointers to save you time at the UN security desk:
- Come to the visitors’ entrance to the UN at E 47th St & 1st Ave, Manhattan, NY.
- No backpacks. Small bags, handbags and purses are ok. Your bags may be searched. If you bring a bag that is too large it can be held at the bag/coat check but you will not be able to take it inside. Backpacks and bags larger than 14″ wide x 13″ high x 4″ deep must be checked at the security tent.
- Bring a photo i.d.
- On site check in begins at 9:00 am, and the program will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 12:00 p.m. Please show up around 9:00 am so we may process every attendee swiftly.
