Urban Coast Institute The Urban Coast Institute&#x2014;a regional forum for the development and implementation of policies and programs that support healthy, productive, and resilient coastal ecosystems and communities&#x2014;supports marine research and education, including hands-on learning experiences and career networking opportunities for Monmouth students. Rapid Response Institute The Rapid Response Institute leverage&#x2019;s the University&#x2019;s modeling, simulation, and software engineering research to provide rapid response capabilities for any homeland security, homeland defense, and/or natural or man-made event. Monmouth students engage in the development of software engineering technologies and research. Dean&#x2019;s Seminar The annual School of Science Dean's Seminar Series provides Monmouth University students, faculty, and staff, and the University community, with an opportunity to interact with leading scientists, educators, and policy makers in the sciences. Seminars are free and open to the public. Summer Research Program High school and college students engage in a 12-week paid research experience, working on collaborative research projects under the supervision of School of Science faculty and staff. Program for the Acceleration in Computer Science Careers (PAC) for Minority Students This free, 10-week program is open to minority students in the third through twelfth grades in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The Stars Challenge A science enrichment program for top middle school students, its goal is to get more top students involved in science and technology, and ultimately to maintain America's historical lead in technology and innovation.</description></oembed>
