Mr. Monaco is a 1977 graduate of the United States Public Health Service Hospital physician assistant program. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona, Rutgers University, and the University of the State of New York at Albany. In addition, he earned a Master of Science in Jurisprudence in Health Care Law and Policy from the Seton Hall School of Law. Mr. Monaco is a board certified physician assistant licensed in New Jersey and registered in New York. He is a member of the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants and is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Mr. Monaco has experience in the medical device industry, general surgery, emergency medicine, primary care, and substance abuse medicine. He has been associated with physician assistant education and training his entire professional career but more formally as a full-time educator for the past 16 years.
