At Monmouth University, options include a 2-year\/350-hour Alternate Route Teacher Training Program and the Masters in Education (M.Ed.). Alternate Route Teacher Track, which can include all content areas, P3 or ESL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-in-page-has-chevron\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSex2yZK1SiXZpKQnLawnP4OJQrbVbOlQvbQdSu8_Qetz-aXyg\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Register for the 350 Hour Provisional Teacher Training Program<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column padding is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"for-k12-ce-holders-only\"><strong>For K-12 CE holders (<\/strong>ONLY<strong>)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>After securing employment as a teacher, a K-12 CE holder must enroll themselves in a 350-hour Provisional Teacher Training Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Provisional Teacher Training Program organizes the state mandated 350 hours of formal instruction into four distinct phases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Phase I (Fall):<\/strong> 100 Hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Phase II (Spring):<\/strong> 100 Hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Phase III (Fall):<\/strong> 75 Hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Phase IV (Spring): <\/strong>75 Hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates may also choose to explore the Masters in Education (M.Ed.) Program<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/graduate\/master-in-education\/application-requirements\/\">Application Requirements<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column padding is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"pre3-ce-holders-only\"><strong>Pre-3 CE Holders (ONLY)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p><strong>Applicants who hold a CE in Preschool through Grade 3 are required to attend a State-approved Preschool through Grade 3 program consisting of a minimum of 24 semester hour credits to secure full licensure. If you plan to seek work in New Jersey under a P-3 CE and complete the 24 semester hour credits while working under provisional licensure, you must enroll in a Department approved New Jersey college or university program.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monmouth University offers both the P3 endorsement program (24 credits) or a M.Ed. P3 Provisional Teacher Track (30 credits)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Either avenue can be completed after holding a Pre-3 certificate of eligibility and obtaining a job as a board-certified teacher.
