William O. George III, Ed.D., is the program director of the Educational Leadership and Ed.D. program and an associate professor at Monmouth University. He has spent more than three decades in public education, serving in a number of different roles throughout his career, including as superintendent of schools at the Hazlet and Middletown Public School Districts. He formerly served as president of the Monmouth County Superintendents’ Roundtable, was on the executive board for over 10 years, and most recently, served as administrator for Academic Success at the Monmouth Beach School District. Currently, George is interim superintendent for Monmouth Ocean Educational Services Commission (MOESC). George is passionate about the commitment to lifelong learning, leadership, and career readiness, and is an advocate for research-based practices that maximize student success.
