Dr. Allen believes that in order for an educational leader to understand the concept of community, that he or she must be involved in the community where he or she works and/or lives. The most important part of my community involvement is as church choir director. In addition to this Dr. Allen is a board member and finance chair with Acelero Learning Head Start of Middlesex and Monmouth Counties. Last but certainly not least he is the president of The Rotary Club of Forked River. The purpose of the Rotary is service: international service; service nationally; and service to our community. In June of 2012 Dr. Allen was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow for "Service Above Self".
