Viewers will have an opportunity to vote for the best presentation in several categories.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"school-of-humanities-and-social-sciences-art-amp-design-climate-crisis-installation\">School of Humanities and Social Sciences \u2013 Art &amp; Design &#8211; Climate Crisis Installation<\/h2>\n\n\n<p><strong>All Day | Sculpture Garden &amp; 600 Courtyard<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AR-218, Sculpture II, created an installation as part of their collaboration with the Climate Teach In.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"school-of-humanities-and-social-sciences-art-amp-design-senior-show\">School of Humanities and Social Sciences \u2013 Art &amp; Design \u2013 Senior Show<\/h2>\n\n\n<p><strong>All Day | DiMattio &amp; Ice House Galleries<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presenting a representative sample of each graduating senior\u2019s best work, including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, silk-screening, book arts, graphic design, motion graphics, and animation.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"school-of-humanities-and-social-sciences-communication-critical-concepts-in-media-representation-of-gender-and-race\">School of Humanities and Social Sciences &#8211; Communication &#8211; Critical Concepts in Media Representation of Gender and Race<\/h2>\n\n\n<p><strong>2:50 p.m. &#8211; 4:10 p.m | Plangere 134<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will collaboratively present multiple concepts discussed throughout the semester, such as whitewashing, sexual objectification, stereotypes, and white privilege. The session will discuss and present examples across media contexts of these concepts, their cultural impact, and ways to promote change.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"school-of-humanities-and-social-sciences-criminal-justice\"><strong>School of Humanities and Social Sciences &#8211; Criminal Justice<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p><strong>3:00 p.m. &#8211; 4:00 p.m. <\/strong>|<strong>  Anacon Hall<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seminar in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security is the capstone course in the Department of Criminal Justice. Students will be presenting their original research during a poster presentation that highlights their work to identify an important research question, argue for its relevance in the field, and analyze data in order to test their hypotheses.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"school-of-nursing-and-health-studies-health-amp-pe-fitnessgram-presentations\">School of Nursing and Health Studies &#8211; Health &amp; P.E. &#8211; Fitnessgram Presentations<\/h2>\n\n\n<p><strong>4:30 p.m. &#8211; 5:50 p.m. | Boylan South<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PE215 students invite participants to an active Fitnessgram testing session where they conduct, test and evaluate a Fitnessgram test.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"school-of-humanities-and-social-sciences-communication\"><strong>School of Humanities and Social Sciences &#8211; Communication<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p><strong>4:30 p.m. &#8211; 7:20 p.m. <\/strong>| <strong>Plangere 235<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moth-styled live storytelling event from CO-381 &#8220;The Power of Story&#8221;. 15 live short stories, 5 &#8220;First to Fly&#8221; club member presentations, and a live &#8220;open mic&#8221; opportunity for the campus community to to share their own short, education-centered stories about first generation college experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"school-of-humanities-and-social-sciences-english-the-reel-discussion-implementing-social-media-in-writing-courses\">School of Humanities and Social Sciences &#8211; English &#8211; The &#8220;Reel&#8221; Discussion: Implementing Social Media in Writing Courses<\/h2>\n\n\n<p><strong>4:30 p.m. &#8211; 5:50 p.m. | Reichnitz Hall 115<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this graduate student presentation to an open classroom, students present to future secondary English educators the benefits of integrating social media into the modern English (and writing) classroom. Students discuss their ideas for the project, the research they have done for their project, and the ways they collaborated to write a proposal for an international conference (Computers and Writing 2023).
