Honors students will be presenting their honors research and creative capstone projects. Students’ research and projects span the gamut of academic disciplines and interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students worked together to investigate various aspects of the linguistic patterns, covering such patterns as accent, dialect, varieties\/registers, lexicon\/slang, power dynamics, discipline-specific challenges, and demographics. Students worked in teams to investigate these linguistic areas. They offer a comprehensive presentation on their findings, both qualitative and quantitative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seminar in Criminal Justice Student Research Poster Presentations<\/strong>

Pozycki Upper Lobby<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seminar in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security is the capstone course in the Department of Criminal Justice and requires each student to conduct their own empirical research project on a topic of their choosing. Students will be presenting their original research during a poster presentation that highlights their work to identify an important research question, argue for its relevance in the field, and analyze data in order to test their hypotheses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twenty-one (21) student participants will present papers on various subjects in this culminating session. The event will be simulcast via Zoom for friends and family who cannot attend in person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

School of Science Student Research Conference<\/strong>

Edison North and South Lobbies<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The School of Science Student Research Conference highlights the results of applied research, independent study, and thesis projects conducted by students in the departments of biology; chemistry and physics; computer science and software engineering; and mathematics. The conference, now a part of the university-wide annual Student Scholarship Week, gives students the opportunity to present their work via poster presentations to peers, faculty, friends, and family.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
