The School of Education hosted a dinner on January 25, 2016 to celebrate the ongoing implementation of the yearlong clinical experience program. Throughout the evening a variety of speakers shared their work in developing the yearlong experience. They included, among others: Greg Duffy, Principal at Lafayette Mills Elementary School; Ed Aldarelli, Principal at West Freehold Elementary School; Linda Foster, Coordinator of the School of Education Mentoring Program; Meredith Riddle, Director of the Provisional Teacher Program; and John Henning, Dean of the School of Education.
The presenters spoke to the three primary goals of the yearlong program:
- increased P-12 student learning
- high quality teacher preparation
- strong support for mentor teachers
Attendees included teacher candidates, teachers, administrators, and professors.
