Danielle Frith, Ph.D., specialist professor in the Department of Special Education, has been selected to serve a three-year term on the Leadership Development Committee (LDC)<\/a> for the Council for Learning Disabilities (CLD)<\/a> Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frith will begin her new role on July 1, and will collaborate with committee members to monitor chapter progress, provide guidance on local activities and conferences, and recommend effective procedures to the board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI look forward to contributing to a strong, connected network of chapters and helping cultivate a well-prepared pipeline of future CLD leaders. As a long-time CLD member and a former participant in both the Leadership Institute and Leadership Academy, I am excited and humbled to step into this role … I am excited about the visibility that this new role will bring to Monmouth University and the School of Education,\u201d Frith said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Frith will partner with board members to ensure alignment across initiatives, promote communication and coordination, and assist chapters in achieving their goals. She will also attend the 48th annual International Conference on Learning Disabilities<\/a> in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe annual CLD conference has always been a highlight for me, and I am especially eager to connect with fellow members in this new capacity,\u201d Frith said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LDC is responsible for encouraging and monitoring the development and maintenance of affiliated CLD chapters and for developing future leaders of the organization. It is also responsible for enhancing the development of future CLD leaders through the Leadership Academy and other organizational activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CLD is an international organization composed of professionals who represent diverse disciplines and is committed to enhancing the education and quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities across the lifespan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
