Golam Mathbor, Ph.D., interim dean and professor in the School of Social Work, recently presented at the International Network of Social Work Praxis and Innovation for Research, Advancing Scholarship, Rights, and Education (INSPIRARE) Global Project Launch and Virtual Event<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his presentation, \u201cGlobal Connections: Building International Social Work Pathways<\/a>,\u201d Mathbor introduced opportunities to connect with social networks globally and highlighted upcoming initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also discussed global engagement strengths in local practice, international partnerships requiring equity, competency development, and sustainable pathways demanding long-term commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

INSPIRARE Global<\/a> is an international initiative funded by the Council on Social Work Education\u2019s Katherine A. Kendall Institute to expand global perspectives in the U.S. social work education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project\u2019s overarching goal is to create platforms that serve a global hub for social work educators, students, and professionals, and create a space to exchange knowledge, challenge dominant narratives, and develop decolonized, cross-cultural approaches to social work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
