The book is edited by Ariel Gratch, Ph.D., Lyndsay Michalik Gratch, Ph.D., and Andrea Baldwin, Ph.D., and brings together classroom-ready activities that emphasize embodied and experiential learning across the communication curriculum. The collection features over 20 active learning exercises designed to help students retain information, offers activities that can be implemented with minimal to no outside materials, and foregrounds the adaptability of these exercises for use in multiple communication contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stojanov\u2019s chapter, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/chapter\/10.1007\/978-3-031-89060-4_11\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Crafting Digital Narratives: Integrating Feminist HCI Principles and Digital Identities in a Semester-Long Transmedia Storytelling Project<\/a>,&#8221; presents a semester-long pedagogical model situated within media studies and mass communication. The chapter outlines an approach in which students engage with emerging media tools to creatively explore contemporary social identities through the production of original content. Through the use of digital media, 3D tools, and online platforms, students learn to effectively convey messages while developing technical and creative competencies. The project also emphasizes collaborative learning, requiring students to practice giving and receiving constructive feedback on creative work.
