{"id":40802291853,"date":"2025-12-26T09:55:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-26T14:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/news\/?p=40802291853"},"modified":"2025-12-31T13:34:13","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T18:34:13","slug":"bsn-student-and-nursing-skills-lab-director-recognized-by-njln","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/news\/bsn-student-and-nursing-skills-lab-director-recognized-by-njln\/","title":{"rendered":"BSN Student and Nursing Skills Lab Director Recognized by NJLN"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Julianne Dellocono, senior nursing student, and Arianna Duncan \u201918, \u201924M, Nursing Skills Lab and Simulation director, were recently recognized by the New Jersey League of Nursing (NJLN) and the Daisy Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dellocono was awarded the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.njln.org\/dr_maureen_sullivan_foley_sch.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2025 Dr. Maureen Sullivan Foley Memorial Scholarship Award<\/a>, while Duncan received the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.njln.org\/the_daisy_awards.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2025 NJLN Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurse Educators<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTo be supported in my nursing education is a blessing. I carry the strength of everyone who believed in me as I continue this journey of learning, service, and compassion,\u201d Dellocono said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Memorial Scholarship Award is presented to eight students\u2014four undergraduates\u2014who are excelling in nursing school and are pursuing advanced nursing degrees or a nursing career. While the Extraordinary Nurse Educators award is given to those fostering a transformative learning environment as an educator and clinician.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;\u201cI love being able to share my passion and excitement for the field with students, taking on a mentor role with them, and showing them, what nursing truly is outside of the classroom,\u201d Duncan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/njln.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NJLN<\/a> promotes excellence in nursing education to build a strong and diverse nursing workforce to advance the health of New Jersey, the country, and the global community. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.daisyfoundation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Daisy Foundation<\/a> celebrates extraordinary, compassionate nurses making a difference in the lives of people around the world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Julianne Dellocono, senior nursing student, and Arianna Duncan \u201918, \u201924M, Nursing Skills Lab and Simulation director, were recently recognized by the New Jersey League of Nursing (NJLN) and the Daisy Foundation.
