As part of his coverage of the state of education in New Jersey, Steve Adubato, host of “One on One with Steve Adubato<\/a>” spoke with Melissa Ziobro, curator for the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music and adjunct professor of public history, at the NJEA Convention in Atlantic City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her interview, Ziobro discusses how the ways that history is presented can impact students’ appreciation and learning of the subject. “When we can grab their attention with music and artifacts and stories, that’s when they want to learn,” she said. “[…] We need [students] to be well informed global citizens who can be active participants in our great democracy.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
