\u201cLiving the Beatles\u2019 Legend: The Untold Story of Mal Evans<\/a>\u201d by Kenneth Womack, Ph.D., professor of English and popular music, was recently named Music Book of the Year at the MiCannes Awards 2024<\/a> held in Cannes, France, June 4-7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWomack has done a meticulously researched job in not only piecing together the roadie\u2019s viewpoint of the Beatles\u2019 story, but also in depicting the tragedy of a man who was so in love with the group he destroyed his own life,\u201d wrote Ray Connolly in his review for \u201cThe Daily Mail.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
