Golam Mathbor, Ph.D., professor in the School of Social Work, was recently invited to present at Academic Career Planning and Development programs at two universities in Bangladesh, Jagannath University and Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mathbor presented an overview of strategic management and effective leadership in higher education to faculty members of both universities during the program’s the first session<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the second session<\/a>, Mathbor examined major challenges in higher education and recommended the best practice strategies to be successful as an academic leader, in addition to speaking about the different elements of academic career planning, scholarship, institutional support, mentorship and networking, and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The events were hosted by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cells of both Jagannath and Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
