Dzenko, McElroy, Sood, and Williams Discuss Harlem Renaissance Feb. 26"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Corey Dzenko, Ph.D., associate professor in the department of Art and Design, Jonathan McElroy, Ph.D., instructor in the department of Music and Theatre Arts, Abha Sood, Ph.D, senior lecturer in the department of English, and Hettie Williams, Ph.D., professor of history at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, will serve as panelists for a discussion, &#8220;The Harlem Renaissance: A History of African American Art and Culture.&#8221; The event is hosted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.longbranchlib.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Long Branch Free Public Library<\/a> and will take place on Monday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. on Zoom. The event is free but <a href=\"https:\/\/us02web.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/tZ0lcu6sqTgiHd0Nk7RaFekaKT9xzf698yRP#\/registration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">registration is required<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The panel will delve into the art, literature, and music that defined the Harlem Renaissance. Attendees will discover the social conditions that inspired African-American creatives and experience the rhythmic beats that shaped the period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter
