Raj Devasagayam, Ph.D., dean of the Leon Hess Business School, delivered a plenary address<\/a> as the featured guest at the 2024 International Conference on Changing Business Practices<\/a>. The conference was held Jan. 12 and 13 at the N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research<\/a> in Mumbai, India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LHBS faculty Jonathan Daigle, Ph.D., associate professor, and Bochen Li, Ph.D., lecturer, also contributed insights with their scholarship on artificial intelligence in business education in their presentations, “Is ChatGPT a Threat to Financial Education?”<\/a> and “ChatGPT in Higher Education.”<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Centered around the theme of adopting new approaches in the ever-changing South Asia Pacific business environment, the event focused on the pivotal role of business research. Discussions were guided by this theme throughout the two-day event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference provided a platform for academics and practitioners to discuss innovative approaches to evolving business challenges. The primary objective was to create a forum for presenting and discussing research on changing business practices in the current South Asia Pacific scenario, facilitating the exchange of knowledge among global academicians and practitioners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 99 attendees from the region presenting 77 research papers, the conference emphasized the relevance of behavior change practices and science. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This event marked a significant step in fostering collaborative efforts to address the evolving business landscape in the South Asia Pacific region, paving the way for future initiatives in promoting good business practices,” said Devasagayam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
