Social work graduate student Grace Springer \u201919 recently received the Graduate Merit Award Program 2023 Scholarship<\/a> from the Executive Women of New Jersey (EWNJ). The scholarship is awarded to non-traditional students attending New Jersey colleges and universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EWNJ defines a non-traditional student as someone who is returning to their studies several years after an undergraduate degree; completing their undergraduate degree at a later date; changing their career and returning to school; or coming from a non-traditional educational or socioeconomic background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Springer returned to Monmouth University to pursue her master\u2019s degree in social work, after graduating from the University in 2019 with a bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration. She attributes her career shift to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and her value for human connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, Springer is a clinical intern with Monmouth\u2019s Counseling and Prevention Services<\/a>, working with undergraduate students through individual therapy, and has aspirations of opening a private practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EWNJ<\/a> Graduate Merit Award Program seeks to establish a pipeline for future women leaders to excel and flourish in corporate spaces.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
