Joseph Napolitano, a third-year doctoral student and a member of the inaugural class of the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program at Monmouth, has been selected to attend the Institute for Future Scientists in Occupational Therapy<\/a> (IFSOT). According to John R. Patro Jr., OTD, occupational therapy department chair and OTD program director, the invitation underscores Napolitano’s dedication to his field and is a significant milestone for the OTD program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Napolitano expressed his gratitude and excitement at being selected for the opportunity, saying, “I am honored to represent Monmouth University at the Institute for Future Scientists in Occupational Therapy. It’s a privilege to be part of the inaugural class of the OTD program, and I look forward to contributing to the field of occupational therapy through this unique experience.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the American Occupational Therapy Association, students who participate in the Institute are expected to continue in the field of scientific research in occupational therapy. Napolitano is scheduled to graduate in May 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
