For the 19th<\/sup> straight year, Monmouth University is one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduates according to The Princeton Review. The education services company profiles and recommends Monmouth in the new edition of its annual college guide, “The Best 389 Colleges: 2024 Edition<\/a>\u201d (2023, Penguin Random House).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only about 15% of America\u2019s 2,600 four-year colleges are profiled in the book. The Princeton Review choses the colleges for the book based on data it annually collects from surveys of 2,000 college administrators about their institutions\u2019 academic offerings. The company also reviews data from its surveys of college students attending the schools who report on their experiences at their institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re delighted to recommend it as an ideal choice for students searching for their \u2018best-fit\u2019 college,\u201d said Rob Franek, The Princeton Review’s editor-in-chief and lead author of “The Best 389 Colleges.”  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student feedback in The Princeton Review’s profile praises Monmouth University for its \u201cgreat variety of course offerings and programs,\u201d many of which prioritize \u201chands-on experience.\u201d The profile also lauds foresight with numerous career- and success-minded initiatives and resources, particularly when it comes to tutoring or writing services. Monmouth, the profile describes, is \u201cfar more than a \u2018beautiful\u2019 campus\u201d and is \u201cgreat at opening new doors for students.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional student perspectives about the Monmouth experience highlight the importance of small class sizes, with students noting that their professors are \u201cpassionate about the subject they teach\u201d and strive to \u201cconnect what we learn in class to the real world.\u201d Students also say that Monmouth is full of \u201cmotivated and creative people\u201d who are \u201cacademically driven and work hard to be involved in many things on campus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Princeton Review does not rank the colleges in the book hierarchically, from 1 to 389. However, the book has 50 categories of ranking lists. Each list names the top 25 schools (of those in the book) in its category. The ranking lists are entirely based on The Princeton Review\u2019s surveys of 165,000 students at the 389 schools in the book. The company\u2019s 85-question student survey asked students to rate their colleges on dozens of topics and report on their campus experiences at them. Monmouth appears on the ranking lists for Green Colleges and Best Northeast schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Best 389 Colleges is one of more than 150 Princeton Review books in a line published by Penguin Random House. The annual book and its rankings have been featured on NBC TODAY more than two dozen times and referenced by many other media from NPR to \u201cThe Wall Street Journal\u201d and \u201cThe Chronicle of Higher Education.\u201d The school profiles and ranking lists in “The Best 389 Colleges” are posted online where they can be searched for free<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
