Luis Mora-Ballesteros, Ph.D., a lecturer of Spanish in the World Languages and Cultures Department, is a co-editor, with Edurne Beltr\u00e1n de Heredia Carmona, Ph.D., of Coastal Carolina University, of “Di\u00e1sporas, \u00e9xodos y representaciones en el arte y la <\/a>literaturahispanoamericano<\/a>,” which collects seven essays from scholars and doctoral candidates in language, art, film studies, literature, and culture at universities in the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The peer-reviewed volume, which is available for free download as an eBook<\/a>, is published by Argus-a<\/em>, a digital, open access, quarterly publication aimed at researchers, professors, teachers, professionals, and students related to the arts and humanities, which disseminates, academic materials in Spanish free-of-charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With its distribution, Mora-Ballesteros hopes that both the general public and the specialized reader will enjoy a unique collection of essays, authored by a diverse group of new scholars and experts in the areas of their specific knowledge. According to the publisher, “these contributions span the ongoing transcontinental narratives, novelistic traditions, transterritorial poetics, and literary criticism. Altogether, this text addresses film studies and cultural theory while combining dissemination and inquiries around the artistic and literary production in Latin America and Europe.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The volume is divided into three different parts titled, \u201cProducci\u00f3n cultural y f\u00edlmica tras los movimientos geogr\u00e1ficos desde y hacia el mundo hispanohablante,\u201d \u201cDi\u00e1sporas y \u00e9xodos en la literatura hispanoamericana y Latina en los Estados Unidos,\u201d and \u201cParadigmas, transmedia, hibridez-texto imagen y lenguaje digital,\u201d providing a rich overview of categories and insights about the hermeneutic reflection and comparative critics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
