Monmouth University President Patrick F. Leahy and Polling Institute Director Patrick Murray have been named to the 2022 NJBIZ Education Power 50 list. This is Leahy\u2019s third and Murray\u2019s fourth time being featured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, NJBIZ highlights education experts who \u201cwill ensure that the next generation \u2013 and the one after that \u2013 will be equipped to move the state forward.\u201d The list represents a variety of skillsets and reflects the \u201ccontinuing need to deal with the fallout from the pandemic, to redress historical inequities and meet the needs of the state\u2019s important economic actors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its profile of Leahy, NJBIZ emphasizes accomplishments including welcoming the first class of students in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program, as well as appointing Pamela Scott-Johnson as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, and Raj Devasagayam as dean of the Leon Hess Business School. NJBIZ also credits Leahy for overseeing Monmouth\u2019s recent No. 18 ranking in the U.S. News & World Report 2022-2023 \u201cBest Colleges\u201d (Regional Universities North) list, \u201ca sign that the school is gaining prominence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Murray\u2019s listing praises him for running \u201cone of the most highly regarded measures of public opinion in the country,\u201d which is \u201crigorous and reliable, consistently receiving an A rating from 538.com.\u201d NJBIZ notes that Murray \u201croutinely appears on television news programs covering national elections and is a go-to source for political journalists of all stripes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
