Monmouth University\u2019s School of Social Work graduate program is ranked among the top programs in the nation, earning a coveted position in the U.S. News & World Report 2023 catalog of \u201cAmerica\u2019s Best Graduate Schools.\u201d<\/p>\n

The University\u2019s Master of Social Work (MSW) program ranked second in New Jersey, fifth in Regional Universities North, and in the top 20 percent of participating schools and programs, coming in at 62 out of 296 positions, which includes 298 ranked institutions.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur faculty and staff have done amazing work with our students, our alumni, and our curricular offerings. Their service work outside of Monmouth, along with their scholarship, have brought great recognition to our programs and have certainly enhanced our reputation\u2014which can be seen with our rankings in U.S. News & World Report,\u201d said Robin Mama, Ph.D., dean of the School of Social Work.<\/p>\n

The U.S. News Health Schools rankings are based on the results of peer assessment surveys sent to deans, administrators, or faculty at accredited degree programs or schools in each discipline. Only programs accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Social Work Education, in good standing during the survey period of fall 2021 and early 2022, are ranked.<\/p>\n

Monmouth\u2019s MSW program prepares graduates for professional social work practice that embodies social work values and strives to secure Human Rights by advancing social, economic, and environmental justice for vulnerable populations in a diverse and increasingly interdependent world.<\/p>\n

The program provides students with the theoretical knowledge and field experience needed for professional social work practice in a wide range of settings, from schools and hospitals to mental health and correctional facilities.<\/p>\n
