Held annually in Boston, it is the oldest Model UN contest in the U.S. and attracts university students from across the globe. This year 19 Monmouth students competed. Ken Mitchell, Ph.D., professor of political science, travelled with the group as the faculty advisor.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>According to Mitchell, Nick Yalch, Gabby Griffo, Sabria Smith, Catherine Melman-Kenny, Amanda Lopez, Eric Machnicki, and Rachel Tramontana put in particularly strong performances during the challenging four-day contest.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Mitchell also recognized the efforts of other members of the delegation, including Oliver Gaines, Thomas Rosta, Richard Pitts, Alex Mykulyn, Emily Pustam, Jenna Keaney, Angel Valerio, James Bellinger, Emily Rabbitt, Nashaviyah Steward, Melanie Tencza<strong>, <\/strong>and Maura Foley.<\/p>\r\n<p>Monmouth University&#8217;s Model UN team will compete next at the annual contest in Charlotte, NC, from March 24-26.
