Robin Mama, Ph.D., dean of the School of Social Work, was recently recognized at the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) annual meeting with the Partners in International Education Individual Award. Golam Mathbor, Ph.D., professor in the School of Social Work and co-chair of the CSWE Global Commission, presented the award to Mama.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Mama was nominated for the award in recognition of her international work and service with the International Organization for Women and Development<\/a>, where she is a member of the executive board, and for her work with Project TVD<\/a>, where she is also member of the board. Several Monmouth faculty and staff have accompanied her and Dr. Saifuddin Mama to both Rwanda and Vietnam. In her work with Project TVD, Mama has taken several Monmouth students with her to Danang, Vietnam, including students from the department of Communication, the Peace Corps Prep program, and the physician assistant program.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
