Monmouth University earned its highest-ever ranking on \u201cU.S. News & World Report\u2019s Best Colleges\u201d roster<\/a>, moving into the No. 18 spot in its category, Regional Universities North. It is the first time the University has ranked in the top 20, rising five spots over its previous best in 2021. Additionally, the University again secured a place on the Best Colleges for Veterans list, ranked at No. 22 in its category.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of us at Monmouth University are delighted to see that our steady focus on academic excellence is being recognized in the most recent U.S. News & World Report rankings,\u201d said Monmouth University President Patrick F. Leahy. \u201cAlong with our commitment to expanding opportunities for access for deserving students, we are proud of our trajectory of success and its impact on our students and graduates. And, I am equally proud that we are among the highest ranked institutions in our category with our access indicators, as measured by the number of Pell Grant-eligible students served.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce again, our incoming first-year class has set new benchmarks, with the highest academic quality as measured by GPA, highest out-of-state percentage, highest number of Honors students, highest number of five-year program students, and second-highest percentage ethnically and racially diverse students.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2022 edition of \u201cU.S. News & World Report\u2019s Best Colleges\u201d includes data on more than 1,400 schools nationwide to help parents and students evaluate their options. U.S. News uses multiple measures<\/a> to capture the various dimensions of academic quality at each college. They fall into nine broad areas: graduation and retention, graduation rate performance, graduate indebtedness, social mobility, faculty resources, expert opinion, financial resources, student excellence, and alumni giving. Monmouth University is also one of the nation\u2019s best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company features Monmouth in the new 2022 edition of its annual higher education guide, \u201cThe Best 387 Colleges<\/a>.\u201d\u00a0 Only about 14 percent of America\u2019s four-year colleges are profiled in The Princeton Review\u2019s college guide. The guide showcases the schools it recommends to college applicants and their parents as nation\u2019s best for undergraduate academics. The Princeton Review does not rank the colleges in the book academically or from 1 to 387 in any category.
