Winston “Win” Parks ’67 ’75M recently made a five-figure gift to the Cybersecurity program at Monmouth to help with the purchase of equipment and software necessary to move the program toward the future.<\/p>\r\n

“Win\u2019s passion for cybersecurity education is undeniable, and extremely timely,” said Steven Bachrach, professor and dean of the School of Science. “His support of our cybersecurity laboratory provides our students with access to cutting-edge technology. These students will graduate Monmouth University ready to tackle the significant challenges of threats to our networks and data.”<\/p>\r\n

Parks was honored with a plaque installed outside the lab in recognition of his gift. While on campus, Parks also enjoyed a tour of the lab and was very impressed by the work of Samer Khamaiseh, professor in the Department of Computer Science, as well as the students who demonstrated his gift in action.<\/p>\r\n

“Watching Win interact with our students and faculty during his visit was a highlight, and despite the pandemic restraints, we appreciated the opportunity to celebrate Win in person,” added Amanda Klaus ’09, vice president for University Advancement. “Win\u2019s generosity in support of the School of Science is a testament to his Monmouth experience, and serves as a leading example for fellow alumni.\u201d<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n
