Join Patrick Murray, director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute, in a discussion with Olivia Nuzzi, one of the nation\u2019s highest profile political reporters, about the state of the news media and how it covers political issues and players. The virtual event is free and open to the public, and will take place on Monday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m. To attend, guests must register.<\/a><\/p>

Nuzzi\u00a0is currently\u00a0New York <\/em>magazine\u2019s Washington correspondent. She grew up in Monmouth County, NJ, cutting her journalistic teeth with local outlets while still in high school. Nuzzi\u00a0is known as a tenacious reporter who pursues the odd and unusual angles in today\u2019s top political stories, writing with a unique, unfiltered voice. She once scored an impromptu exclusive Oval Office interview with Donald Trump and has written about the challenges of texting with Rudy Giuliani. She is currently working with Ryan Lizza on a book about the 2020 election.<\/p>

Murray\u00a0<\/strong>was named the Monmouth University Polling Institute\u2019s founding director in 2005. He frequently appears as a commentator on polling and politics for regional and national outlets. During federal election years, Murray also serves as an exit poll analyst for the NBC News Decision Desk.<\/p>
