{"id":40802251086,"date":"2020-11-13T16:46:27","date_gmt":"2020-11-13T21:46:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/news\/?p=40802251086"},"modified":"2020-11-19T16:48:28","modified_gmt":"2020-11-19T21:48:28","slug":"bruce-springsteen-archives-adds-two-special-programs-nov-17-nov-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/news\/bruce-springsteen-archives-adds-two-special-programs-nov-17-nov-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Bruce Springsteen Archives Adds Two Special Programs Nov. 17 &amp; Nov. 19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth University will present two very special programs this Thanksgiving season<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>First is a special edition of <em>What\u2019s Up on E Street?<\/em> featuring music historian Bob Santelli interviewing Thom Zimny, long-time Springsteen videographer and producer of \u201cLetter to You<em>,<\/em>\u201d the documentary film about the making of the new Springsteen album of the same name.\u00a0The episode goes live on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Following soon after, a special <em>Soundstage<\/em> interview featuring Arlo Guthrie talking with Santelli about the making of \u201cAlice\u2019s Restaurant,\u201d will launch on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. Now regarded as a Thanksgiving tradition, \u201cAlice\u2019s Restaurant\u201d was first recorded in 1967.<\/p>\n<p>Both programs can be accessed on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/springsteen-archives-and-center-for-american-music\/\"><strong>Bruce Springsteen Archives &amp; Center for American Music website<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0or via the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Bruce-Springsteen-Archives-Center-for-American-Music-668082893545781\/\"><strong>Springsteen Archives\u2019 Facebook page<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>What\u2019s Up on E Street?<\/em> is a new series that highlights the individual members of the band and how they are dealing with the global COVID-19 pandemic. Previous interviews include other E Street Band members Nils Lofgren, Roy Bittan, Max Weinberg, Garry Tallent, and Steven VanZandt.<\/p>\n<p><em>Soundstage<\/em>, a monthly online series presented by the Springsteen Archives, explores new works, trends, and contemporary issues in American music. Previous artists appearing on Soundstage include Lofgren, Tallent and the Delevantes, David Sancious, and Tom Morello.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About BSACAM<\/strong>: The Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth University serves as the official archival repository for Bruce Springsteen\u2019s written works, photographs, periodicals, and artifacts.
