The Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth University will release a conversation with Tom Morello discussing his new book, \u201cWhatever It Takes,\u201d with music journalist Bob Santelli on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. on Soundstage.<\/em><\/p>\n

Soundstage<\/em>, a monthly online series presented by the Springsteen Archives explores new works, trends, and contemporary issues in American music. The series can be accessed via the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music website<\/a> or via the Springsteen Archives\u2019 Facebook page<\/a>.<\/strong> Previous artists appearing on Soundstage<\/em> include Nils Lofgren, David Sancious, and Garry Tallent with the Delevantes.<\/p>\n

\u201cSoundstage<\/em> showcases new music, ideas, and trends in American popular culture, starting with projects from members of the E Street Band,\u201d said Santelli. \u201cIn this period of COVID-19, it\u2019s reassuring that artists are finding ways to tap into their creativity and share it with us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Morello said, \u201cCreating this book brought back a lot of memories and reminded me why I made the commitment to rock & roll all those years ago. It\u2019s also an honor to have ‘Whatever It Takes’ become part of the collection at the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music. I\u2019m sure it\u2019ll be in great company.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTom Morello is one of the original thinkers in rock & roll,\u201d said Santelli. \u201cHis new book takes us on a photo journey of his career, from his early days, through Rage Against The Machine, his time spent with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and his mission to make rock & roll are part of America\u2019s political process. It\u2019s a \u2018must\u2019 for Morello fans.\u201d<\/p>\n

The limited edition cover photo was taken by noted New Jersey photographer Danny Clinch. Inside are more than 300 photos that describe Morello\u2019s life. Publication is limited to 2,000 numbered copies signed by Morello. The book dedication reads: \u201cThis book is dedicated to all the family, friends, fans, foes and F.B.I. agents who have helped or hindered along the way.\u201d<\/p>\n
