Monmouth University earned its highest-ever ranking on U.S. News & World Report\u2019s Best Colleges roster<\/a>, moving into the No. 23 spot in its category, Regional Universities North. It is the first time the University has ranked in the top 25, rising five spots over its previous best in 2020. Additionally, the University once again secured its place on the Best Colleges for Veterans list, moving up to No. 11 in its category.<\/p>\n

Monmouth University is also one of the nation\u2019s best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company features Monmouth in the new 2021 edition of its annual higher education guide, \u201cThe Best 386 Colleges<\/a>.\u201d\u00a0In addition, Monmouth University\u2019s radio station, WMCX 88.9 FM, ranked as the No. 18 Best College Radio Station in the country based on the student survey results.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am incredibly proud that our commitment to academic excellence and expanded opportunity for students is reflected in our newest scorecard from U.S. News & World Report,\u201d said Monmouth University President Patrick F. Leahy. \u201cWe are welcoming our most academically prepared and diverse cohort of first-year students this fall, and the strides we are making reflect the quality of our faculty and our focus on delivering an outstanding education to our undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2021 edition of \u201cU.S. News & World Report\u2019s Best Colleges\u201d includes data on more than 1,800 schools nationwide to help parents and students evaluate their options. Eligible schools are ranked on up to 17 measures of academic excellence. Outcome-related measures, such as graduation and retention rates, account for 40 percent of the rankings and are the most heavily weighted factors in the methodology<\/a>. Only about 13 percent of America\u2019s four-year colleges are profiled in The Princeton Review\u2019s college guide. The Princeton Review does not rank the colleges in the book academically or from 1 to 386 in any category. The 80-question survey asks students to rate their own schools on several topics and report on their campus experiences.
