Assistant Professor of Ethnomusicology Meghan Hynson, Ph.D., and recent music industry graduate Sara Wojciehowski presented “Music Industry Education in the Wake of COVID-19: Positive Pedagogical Developments at Monmouth University” at the Western Business and Management (WBM) Conference on Sept. 12.<\/p>\n
Their paper discussed positive developments in music industry education at Monmouth following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. Hynson and Wojciehowski describe some of the new skills students gained as they produced albums and multi-track performances from home, hosted record release parties on Instagram, organized a virtual summer music festival, and performed in remote recitals and concerts.
