Poll Garners Top \u2018Predictive\u2019 Score, \u2018A Projection of How Accurate <\/strong>the Pollster Will Be in Future Elections\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the third straight time, the Monmouth University Polling Institute has received an A-plus rating from Nate Silver\u2019s respected news site FiveThirtyEight.<\/p>\n

The Monmouth University Poll was one of just six to receive a grade of A-plus out of 430 polling operations reviewed by FiveThirtyEight, which calculates ratings by analyzing the historical accuracy and methodology of each organization\u2019s polls. Previously, the poll was rated A-plus in 2016 and 2018 (ratings were not updated in 2017).<\/p>\n

The Monmouth University Poll also received the best “predictive” score among these pollsters, which FiveThirtyEight defines as a “projection of how accurate the pollster will be in future elections.”<\/p>\n

Monmouth University President Patrick F. Leahy added: “The Monmouth University Polling Institute has built a tremendous reputation for being accurate, trustworthy and reliable. This distinction reiterates Monmouth\u2019s standing as one of the top polling operations in the nation.”<\/p>\n

The Monmouth University Polling Institute was established to be a leading center for the study of public opinion on important state and national issues. Murray was named the founding director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute in 2005.<\/p>\n
