Monmouth University Kislak Real Estate Institute will host its 19th<\/sup> annual Leadership Excellence Award Dinner on Thursday, May 31 in historic Wilson Hall.\u00a0 The dinner is one of the premier networking events in the state of New Jersey.<\/p>\n

Joseph S. Taylor, president & CEO of Matrix Development Group, will receive the prestigious Leadership Excellence Award\u00a0 and Ted Zangari, Esq., chair of the Redevelopment Law & Public Policy Practice Groups at the Sills Cummis & Gross law firm, will receive the Institute’s first Service to the Industry Award.<\/p>\n

Mr. Taylor formed Matrix Development Group in 1981 at the age of twenty-four. \u00a0He is responsible for growing Matrix from its initial 2,000 acre Exit 8A investment in New Jersey into one of the most successful full-service real estate investment companies in the industry operating throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. \u00a0Over the years, the company has developed more than 20 million square feet of commercial, industrial, and residential properties. \u00a0Mr. Taylor has received countless awards and recognition for its leadership in the industry, charitable efforts as well as its leading business practices.<\/p>\n

A business\u00a0attorney specializing in commercial real estate transactions, Mr. Zangari is being recognized by the Institute\u00a0for his leadership of the Smart Growth Economic Development Coalition. The Coalition is comprised of more than two dozen statewide trade associations\u00a0that has been responsible for many of the pro-business\u00a0legislative and regulatory initiatives\u00a0of the past several years.\u00a0 He\u00a0serves in various roles within the NJ Builders Association, NJ-NAIOP, NJ Mixed-Use Developers, and the International Council of Shopping Centers\u00a0for whom he has the honor of serving as its North American Chair of State & Provincial Government Relations.\u00a0\u00a0Mr. Zangari\u00a0has been named one of the Top 10 Power Players in the Garden State by Real Estate New Jersey<\/em> magazine and over the last decade NJBiz <\/em>weekly has included him in its “Power\u00a0100” list of the state’s business leaders and its “Power 50” list of the\u00a0state’s\u00a0real estate professionals.<\/p>\n
