The discussions are led by Polling Institute Director Patrick Murray, with a period for audience Q &amp; A. The events are free and open to the public. He is also <em>Salon.com\u2019s <\/em>senior political writer. Before that, he wrote for the <em>New York Observer<\/em> and covered Congress for <em>Roll Call<\/em>. He also spent three years in New Jersey, chronicling the state\u2019s political world for PolitickerNJ.com and co-hosting <em>Power &amp; Politics<\/em>, a television weekly show on News12 New Jersey. His work has also appeared in the <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em>, <em>New York Times<\/em>, <em>New York Daily News<\/em>, <em>New York Post<\/em>, <em>Boston Globe<\/em>, <em>Daily Beast <\/em>and <em>Capital New York<\/em>. He is a native of Groton, Massachusetts, and graduated from Boston University.<\/p>\n<p>         <strong>A Conversation with MONICA CROWLEY was held on Monday, October 1, at 7 p.m. in Wilson Hall. <\/strong>Monica Crowley is a host and political and foreign affairs analyst for the Fox News Channel, and the host of the nationally syndicated radio program, <em>The Monica Crowley Show<\/em>. She has also been a regular panelist on <em>The McLaughlin Group<\/em> and an anchor on MSNBC. She is the author of <em>The New York Times<\/em> bestseller, <em>What The (Bleep) Just Happened? The Happy Warrior\u2019s Guide to the Great American Comeback<\/em>. She served as Foreign Policy Assistant to former President Richard Nixon from 1990 until his death in 1994, and wrote two bestsellers about her experiences, <em>Nixon Off the Record <\/em>and <em>Nixon in Winter<\/em>. She has also written for the <em>New Yorker<\/em>, <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em>, <em>Los Angeles Times<\/em>, and <em>Newsweek<\/em>.
