Monmouth University’s Department of Professional Counseling, The Monmouth County Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (MCDMHAS) in cooperation with the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (GCADA), and MonmouthCares, Inc. will present the Second Annual Clinical Conference: Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) and Substance Use Disorders on Friday, November 16, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.\u00a0 The Conference will be held at Monmouth University’s Wilson Hall.\u00a0 The fee is $30 and includes continental breakfast, lunch, parking, and CEUs.<\/p>\n
This conference will focus on the issues of PTSD and its confluence with Substance Use Disorders, with emphasis on symptomatology, therapeutic interventions, neuroscience, and psychopharmacology.\u00a0 Additional emphasis will be given to the issues of returning veterans, first responders, and victims\/witnesses of violent crime.<\/p>\n
LCADC and LPC CEUs have been approved. For LCSW CEUs participant must apply directly to licensing board.<\/p>\n
