TALLAHASSEE, FL – Junior Sammi Ragenklint competed at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships on Saturday, becoming the first-ever Hawk to take part in the event.
 
Ragenklint crossed the line in 87^th place, finishing with a time of 20:25.7 in the 6k race which had 255 entrants. She crossed the 5k marker on the Apalachee Regional Park course in 16:55, which was a new school record.
 
It was another strong performance for Ragenklint to cap off her 2021 cross country campaign. Overall, she won two races and set new personal bests in the 5k, 6k, and 6.17k events while earning All-Region honors at the NCAA Division I Mid-Atlantic Regionals.

Ragenklint and the rest of the team will prepare for the start of the 2021-22 indoor track season. The first event is the Wagner Seahawk Shootout, which will take place on Friday, December 10 in Staten Island, NY.
