WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Trey Dombroski was named the unanimous MAAC Pitcher of the Year, league officials announced Tuesday, to highlight Monmouth University Baseball's All-MAAC selections. Dombroski was also a unanimous First Team choice, while first baseman
James Harmstead and utility player
Alex Barker were named to the All-MAAC Second Team. Freshman
Jay Bant and
Reed Interdonato earned spots on the All-Rookie Team.

Dombroski is the eighth Pitcher of the Year in program history and second in a row, joining teammate
Rob Hensey, who won it in 2021. He broke the program's strikeout record this season with 110, and currently holds a 2.63 ERA, leading the MAAC in both categories. Dombroski is seventh nationally in strikeout-to-walk ratio and 12
th in WHIP, and has allowed just 26 earned runs in 89 innings to this point. Dombroski was also a selection to the First Team unanimously, the 45
th First Teamer in program history and third unanimous choice since MU joined the MAAC. Dombroski earned a MAAC-leading five Pitcher of the Week honors this year.

Harmstead earns a spot on the All-MAAC Second Team at first base after breaking the program's single-season home run record with 18, a number that also leads the MAAC. His 13 doubles are second on the team and he has driven in a team best 47 runs, and he is slugging at a .613 clip this season. Harmstead is the only Hawk to play and start in all 49 games this season.

Barker earns his second straight All-MAAC nod, earning this honor at the utility spot. Offensively, Barker has 10 home runs and 30 runs driven in, totaling 18 extra base hits on the year. He has scored 28 runs, and started 40 games at the designated hitter spot. On the mound, Barker has 34 strikeouts in 31.1 innings and an ERA just barely over four. He has made 12 appearances, primarily out of the bullpen, and opponents hit just .232 against him.

Bant has started 17 times as a freshman and has two home runs, including a game-winner as part of a three-RBI day against Niagara. He's driven in nine runs and scored 11 times. Interdonato has eight scoreless outings this season and is averaging a strikeout per inning, making five starts and 15 appearances. He earned his first career win with three scoreless against Seton Hall. Bant and Interdonato are just the second and third Hawks to ever earn All-Rookie honors since the league introduced the team in 2021, joining teammate
Dixon Black.

20 Hawks were named to the MAAC All-Academic Team, the third most in the league. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
