Shadow Lawn Stage, the Professional Theater of Monmouth University proudly presents a swinging tribute to Ol\u2019 Blue Eyes, My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, running from July 18th through July 28th<\/strong> at Lauren K. Woods Theatre.<\/p>\n

The musical relives Sinatra\u2019s legendary career as four actors take you on a musical revue spanning the breadth of his career from his early beginnings as a crooner in New York, to the bright lights of Las Vegas with the Rat Pack, to his final performances. Conceived by David Grapes and Todd Olson, My Way<\/em> invites its audience to take a trip down memory lane while celebrating Sinatra\u2019s remarkable five-decade career from the 1950s to the 1990s. From a songbook of more than 1,300 tunes, My Way <\/em>spotlights 54 of Sinatra\u2019s classic songs, from Fly Me to the Moon<\/em>, to Chicago<\/em>, to New York, New York<\/em>, and That\u2019s Life<\/em>. It\u2019s a celebration just as Ol\u2019 Blue Eyes would have wanted it\u2014a few stories, a few drinks, and plenty of knockout tunes.<\/p>\n

Shadow Lawn Stage is the professional Equity theater series at Monmouth University. Its goal is to present the best of past and present plays and musicals at the Jersey Shore. As a professional theater on a university campus\u2014Actors\u2019 Equity Association is the official union for stage actors in the United States\u2014Shadow Lawn gives students a unique opportunity to work side-by-side with Equity actors, learn the details of professional production (both backstage and onstage), and earn points toward Equity membership. Recent productions include \u201cThe Fantasticks,\u201d \u201cYou\u2019re A Good Man, Charlie Brown,\u201d \u201cAlways Patsy Cline,\u201d \u201cTeddy and Alice,\u201d \u201cBig, The Musical,\u201d and \u201cThe 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.\u201d<\/p>\n
