Multiple Grammy award winning artist, Rosanne Cash, was one of the first artists to kick off our 2016-2017 season presented under a special partnership between Monmouth University and the LA-based Grammy Museum. Cash\u2019s husband, celebrated vocalist, songwriter, musical director and guitarist John Leventhal and their full band, joined her on stage in a set that draws from the artist\u2019s rich catalog of recordings \u2014 with a spotlight on the triple-Grammy album \u201cThe River and the Thread.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prior to performing on stage, Cash performed an open rehearsal and Q&A for Monmouth University Music Industry students. This opportunity marked a landmark occasion for students who were able to witness this legend in person and then ask her questions about her work.<\/p>\n

Attendees of the event also had the opportunity to view \u201cBob Dylan: Photographs by Daniel Kramer,\u201d a Grammy Museum-curated exhibit on the walls of the building\u2019s Pollak Gallery. Collecting more than 40 candid images of the ascendant musical game-changer taken between 1964 and 1965, the Dylan exhibit remained on display through December 2016.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
