Standing tall outside of the OceanFirst Bank Center, Monmouth University welcomes a new point of pride\u2014The Hawk at Brockriede Common.\u00a0 The new bronze hawk sculpture is 15 feet high, weighs in at 29,000 pounds, and features a 22-foot-long wingspan.<\/p>\n
No university funds were used for this\u00a0new campus addition thanks\u00a0to the\u00a0artistry and\u00a0generosity of master sculptor and Monmouth alumnus Brian Hanlon \u201988\u00a0and his wife, Michele Hanlon \u201990, along with a donation from the Brockriede family, including Monmouth University Trustee John A. Brockriede Jr. \u201907 \u201910M.<\/p>\n
