University Police

Description

Established in 1971, the Monmouth University Police Department patrols the campus as well as the off-campus residential facilities owned by the University. This law enforcement agency operates on a year-round 24-hour schedule and offers a variety of services, including police escorts and property registration for all members of the University community. The department consists of 20 state-commissioned police officers and detectives, as well as safety officers, dispatchers, and other personnel.

The MUPD encourages all faculty, administrators, staff, and students to call 911 for any emergencies and 732-571-4444 to report all crimes and suspicious behaviors/activities. Students residing at Pier Village or the University Bluffs should call the Long Branch Police Department for assistance at 732-222-1000, or 911 in the case of emergencies.

Visit the MUPD homepage to read more about resources provided by the department, as well as safety guidelines and annual security reports.
