Alumni Board Welcomes New Members<\/h1>
Two incumbents are joined by four new voting members\u2014including a longtime non-voting participant.<\/div>

Monmouth University has announced the results of this spring\u2019s Alumni Association Board of Directors election. Six alumni have been selected to serve three-year terms beginning July 1, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group includes two returning incumbents\u2014Thomas \u201cTJ\u201d Acerra Jr. \u201913 and Nicole Trainor \u201999, \u201911M, \u201920 Ed.D.\u2014as well as four newly elected members: John Askin \u201922; Bryan Koslow \u201904M; Tina Onikoyi \u201912, \u201915M, Ph.D.; and Wendy O\u2019Ree \u201988, \u201996M. O\u2019Ree previously served two terms in a non-voting capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors serve as ambassadors for the 59,000-plus alumni family. Elected by their peers each spring, this diverse group works closely with Monmouth leadership to engage all alumni through events, volunteer activities, and fundraising efforts. More information can be found here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n

As an alumnus, he has completed two terms on the Alumni Association Board of Directors and currently serves on the Executive Committee. He volunteers as a mentor with the Leon Hess Business School and attends alumni events, including Homecoming and Wine and Stein.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

As an alumnus, he serves on the Dean\u2019s Advisory Council for the Leon Hess Business School, was a member of the search committee for the director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, and participated in the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation process in 2024. He also attends signature events including Wine and Stein, Homecoming, and the Gala at the Great Hall.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

Activities as a student<\/strong> and alumna: <\/strong>O\u2019Ree transferred to Monmouth the second semester of her sophomore year. Employed full time during her time as an undergraduate, she spent most of her time in the classroom or the art studio. As an alumna, O\u2019Ree is a dedicated volunteer and participates in Homecoming, Accepted Student Days, and Wine and Stein. She has also served two non-voting terms on the Alumni Association Board of Directors. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

Activities as a student<\/strong> and alumna: <\/strong>As an undergraduate, Trainor was in Theta Phi Alpha. She was also president of the Student Activities Board, secretary of the Student Alumni Association, an orientation leader, a member of The Outlook, and helped edit the yearbook. Trainor is beginning her third consecutive term on the Alumni Association Board of Directors, where she serves on the Executive Committee.
