The Kislak Real Estate Institute (KREI) at Monmouth University is dedicated to providing high-quality education to our students, fostering their development into knowledgeable and skilled real estate professionals. Our mission extends to creating a robust network within the industry, using our advisory council as a foundational pillar to connect students, alumni, and professionals, thereby contributing to the economic and educational development of New Jersey and the surrounding region. The primary functions and objectives of the Kislak Real Estate Institute are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Educational and Advisory Resource:<\/strong> Developing KREI as a premier educational and advisory resource for the real estate community.\n

    3. Networking Opportunities:<\/strong> Provide extensive networking opportunities within the real estate community to foster collaboration and growth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Student Engagement:<\/strong> Leverage our network to engage students in the real estate community, helping them build their future professional networks through current educational initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Mentoring and Experiential Learning:<\/strong> Offer a “from the ground up” approach to mentoring, training, experiential learning opportunities, internships, and hiring opportunities to prepare students for successful careers in real estate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      The Kislak Real Estate Institute at Monmouth University offers a uniquely personalized educational experience. Students can obtain a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Concentration in Real Estate<\/a><\/strong> and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate<\/a><\/strong>. The curriculum includes courses such as Real Estate Law, Real Estate Appraisal & Valuation, Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Leasing, Real Estate Development and Real Estate Modeling. In addition, students have opportunities to gain practical skills including Argus, Excel and ArcGIS, and participate in an industry-based podcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      For established professionals who are looking to obtain specialized knowledge within the commercial real estate field, we offer corporate training modules that would suit individuals who must make real estate decisions as investors, asset managers, consultants, developers, or officers of financial institutions. Professionals in allied fields such as architecture, accounting, and financial services will find that this program provides the conceptual and practical skill needed for a productive career related to commercial real estate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      With our “apprenticeship” program, students benefit from specialized attention and a close-knit community where faculty and industry experts are deeply invested in their success. This applied setting allows students to take full advantage of the exceptional opportunities available to them, including hands-on learning, internships, networking events, and mentorship programs.       \n Success in real estate demands a broad understanding of many diverse areas of the industry. Factors such as overbuilding, increasingly complicated finance investments, environmental concerns, sophisticated legal issues, and demanding regulatory constraints are becoming increasingly important concerns. Individuals who lack the requisite skills and knowledge necessary to manage these issues are at a distinct disadvantage.
      \n In response to the growing demand for academic programs focusing on real estate and it’s related issues, the Monmouth University Kislak Real Estate Institute offers a variety of programs suited for professionals, graduate, and undergraduate students.
      \n The Certificate Program is a multidisciplinary program that would suit established professionals who must make real estate decisions as investors, asset managers, consultants, developers, or officers of financial institutions. Professionals in allied fields such as architecture, accounting, and financial services will find that this program provides the conceptual and practical skill needed for a productive career related to commercial real estate. The program is the only executive education real estate program in the State of New Jersey.
      \n The Master of Business Administration Real Estate Track is designed to meet the needs of those whose careers center around the commercial real estate industry and are seeking advanced knowledge in the areas of real estate valuation, finance, lease, law, and development, as well as a solid business background.
      \n Undergraduate education in the field is becoming increasingly necessary as real estate gains recognition as a profession. To meet this need, the Kislak Real Estate Institute has introduced a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in real estate where students are exposed to finance, development, law, construction, and all facets of the real estate business.
