Honors School Student Wins Regional Research Award
Honors School student Harry Termyna has been selected to present his thesis at the annual Eastern Psychological Association Conference at the Marriot Marquis in New York City, held this year from February 28 through March 1. Harry’s thesis Evaluating how Perceptions of Perfectionists Influence Others to Collaborate with them in the Classroom has won the Psi Chi Eastern Psychological Association Regional Research Award which will be presented during the awards ceremony. In addition to presenting his research to the conference, Harry will be awarded a $400 research prize.
Harry will graduate in spring 2019 with majors in both psychology and political science.
Harry is a resident assistant (3 years), serves as the current President of the Honors School Association and Vice-President of the Psychology Club, has been a psychology research assistant, and will be the recruitment chair for MU’s potential chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success. He is also a member of Psi Chi, the psychology honor society, and has been part of the University’s global experience program, traveling to Nicaragua during the summer of 2017 and Guatemala in the spring of 2018. Harry is applying to Monmouth’s Masters of Education Student Affairs and College Counseling program for fall 2019.
