The Honors School Peer Mentoring Program provides every first-year Honors student with an upper-class Honors peer mentor. The purposes of the Peer Mentor Program are:
- to enhance first year Honors students’ experience at Monmouth University and the Honors School,
- to create a sense of community within the Honors College, and to encourage mutually beneficial, positive and lasting relationships between students, and
- to provide first year students the opportunity to network and cultivate relationships with upper-class Honors students and to interact comfortably with people and groups from diverse backgrounds and interest areas.
The Peer Mentor program is constantly growing and changing to meet the needs of our students. First-year Honors School students recognize the importance of peer connections as they acclimate to university life, and upper-level Honors students are excited to share their knowledge and experience.
