There is no charge to be clinically evaluated by a Health Services clinician.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Appointments or Walk-ins are welcome for all health services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Services and products provided at no charge include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Diagnosis and treatment of common ambulatory illnesses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluation and treatment of injuries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allergy injections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>STD testing and screening<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health and wellness education and counseling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"womens-clinic\">Women&#8217;s Clinic<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>The following services are provided as part of our women&#8217;s services:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Birth control pills (prescribed)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pregnancy testing (free)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gynecological exams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pap testing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Breast exams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>STD testing &amp; screening<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Treatment for urinary track infections (UTI)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"mens-clinic\">Men&#8217;s Clinic<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>The following services are provided as part of our Men&#8217;s Clinic:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Testicular exams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>STD testing and screening<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"immunizations\">Immunizations<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>We provide immunizations for students. Please call 732-571-3464 for the latest fee schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>MMR: measles, mumps, and rubella (prescribed)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PPD: TB testing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hepatitis B<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tetanus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meningitis (prescribed)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flu: Offered once a year through an immunization drive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"preemploymentadmission-physicals\">Pre-Employment\/Admission Physicals<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Pre-employment physicals are offered at Health Services for a nominal charge.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"prescriptions-and-diagnostic-testing\">Prescriptions and Diagnostic Testing<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Students are responsible for costs incurred for prescriptions, laboratory testing, diagnostic exams, and referrals for special services. &#8220;Starter drug doses&#8221; are provided free of charge based on formulary availability.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"confidentiality-and-privacy\">Confidentiality and Privacy<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>All consultations, examinations, and counseling are strictly private and confidential.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"allergy-injections\">Allergy Injections<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Allergy injections are given in Health Services as a special service to students. Allergy injections are scheduled by appointment. Students need to call Health Services at 732-571-3464 for an appointment. Prior to starting allergy injections, there must be signed agreements by both the student and the Allergist Office. Copies of the agreement\/allergy injection policy are listed below and can also be found on the Student Health Portal under the Forms tab. There is no fee for this service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please follow the guidelines below for participating in our allergy injection program:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students are responsible for bringing in the allergy medication and documentation at the beginning of the semester.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serum will be kept at the Health Center in a regulated refrigerator and must be picked up by the student at the end of each semester.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All allergy vials must be clearly marked with the student&#8217;s name, contents, and expiration date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Single dose vials will not be administered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sera will not be combined in a single syringe.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>First dose out of a new vial must be given by the student&#8217;s private allergist.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Documentation from the student&#8217;s allergist must include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Clear, legible instructions on physician office letterhead or documentation sheet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physician&#8217;s name and phone number<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Written instructions including dosage adjustment orders for local reactions and missed doses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Students are to inform the clinical staff of the following before an injection is administered:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Current medications, especially beta-blockers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cold or allergy symptoms including any current illness, fever, or wheezing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prolonged or delayed reaction from previous injection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pregnancy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After receiving an injection, students must wait at least 30 minutes at the Health Center and be reevaluated by a clinician prior to discharge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The full allergy injection policy can be found in the following documents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a title=\"Allergy Injection Policy - Allergist Office\" href=\"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/health-services\/documents\/2018\/10\/allergy-injection-policy-and-practice-allergist-office.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Allergist Office: Allergy Injection Policy<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a title=\"Allergy Injection Policy - Student\" href=\"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/health-services\/documents\/2018\/10\/allergy-injection-policy-and-practice-student.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Student: Allergy Injection Policy<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We provide care to ALL students, both graduate and undergraduate, residential and commuter.
